Works with stand-alone systems but also with PC systems. The stand-alone unit is the OMNIA access controller, connected to the reader through a RS485 connections.
The reader can work in fingerprint only mode or in fingerprint + card or card only.
When used with card mode, the reader can be connected trough a wiegand connection bus.
The memory of OMNIA unit is 500 fingerprints, with memorization of 2 fingerprints per user, and the response time is 1 second.
Every OMNIA controller can manage 2 BIOMET readers, every controller has 2 really outputs.
The OMNIA controller has also 2 standard inputs for wiegand or clock&data readers (proximity, magstripe, etc..)
It is possible to declare a number of fingerprints as “administrators” and then after their touch, the BIOMET can learn other fingerprints without opening the cover box.
It is ideal for opening any door or alarm connection.

Il DIGITOUCH ® è un lettore biometrico multifunzioni, di impronte digitali in grado di riconoscere fino a 500 utenti (fino a 2 impronte per utente). Il lettore incorpora un lettore RFID all’interno, in tecnologia Mifare ©, e così consente la modalità di riconoscimento dell'utente 1/1 oppure 1/N. La sua interfaccia con “touch screen” a colori di 2,8''consente una rapida configurazione del sistema e anche utilizzare come tastiera per essere riconosciuti inserendo solamente un codice.

The reader BIO-VEINZ uses a biometric scanner made by Hitachi that reads the veins of the finger to identify people. It comes from a medical investigation. All the people have got an unique vein pattern so there aren't two people with the same disposition of the veins. In the registering phase, the finger is illuminated from the sides by infrared lights. Then, an optic sensor registers the pictures and saves them in the hardware/computer/card depending on the configuration. Then, in its use as access control or presence, the reader compares the stored picture with the finger on the reader and validates or not the access.
The technology provides lots of advantages:

Easy to register new users and uses less memory than other biometric systems.

High tolerance to skin problems: dirty, wounds, marks in the skin... can even read through latex gloves.
