T301A
This small Wi-Fi tag with a long lifetime battery has an intelligent motion sensor and software trigger that sends the location data only when tag is moving or has moved to a new position. This saves battery life and minimizes network bandwidth. Tag functions in any standard 802.11 device and can be used in two-way communication. Tag reports its battery level to the application server for a timely battery replacement.

T301BD
The T-301BD Wi-Fi pager allows users to receive and send text messages. These messages can for example be based on event rules, statuses, location or other business logic within the RTLS system. Third party applications can send and receive messages to and from the pager using the open APIs. Users can create menu structures on the T-301BD allowing for simple text based browsing applications to be extended to the pager itself. The units incorporate a staff duress or panic switch as well.

T302iS
This wireless tag is specially made for industrial applications. It provides a reliable method for signaling part, service or other requests by transmitting push button signals to back-end applications. Using its two-way communication capability it is able to display status of the request which gives an estimate on delivery time to the person that dispatched the call.

Positioning Engine

Positioning Engine is the heart of the RTLS system, including several patented algorithms and methods to calculate a precise real-time location withing the Wi-Fi network. It includes all necessary Adminstrator's controls over the system operation, and a flexible XML/HTTP API to export the location data to any outside system or ERP software. It provides accurate location, presence, and status information in real time for Wi-Fi tags and other supported Wi-Fi devices. PE also includes a framework to transmit messages and telemetry data from Wi-Fi tags to outside applications.

PE provides the best cost-performance compared to any other location server or appliance on the market. It can calculate a room-level location with the existing enterprise/VoIP grade Wi-Fi network, without any proprietary reader gates or additional Wi-Fi access points on site.

To calculate the location of tracked items or individuals, PE must know the coverage area of each Wi-Fi access point, and the radio field strength patterns across the tracking area. This information is created by using Site Survey tool prior to the RTLS deployment.

Location Beacons

Location Beacons are small mobile battery-powered transmitters that are used to further increase the location accuracy of the RTLS. These beacons are designed to enhance system performance in areas that have poor Wi-Fi coverage but where location accuracy is mission critical.

Wi-Fi tags recognize these location beacon signals and transmit the signal data to the Positioning Engine, which calculates the precise location of the tags. The location beacons are typically mounted on a wall. Because they do not require any cabling, the location beacons can be moved around as needed to improve accuracy for a period of time or installed permanently in specific locations.

There are two models of location beacons:

  • Room Beacon fills a room with the beacon signal.
  • Bed Beacon creates a sub-zone inside a room to enable bed-level or bay-level accuracy.

Vision
Vision is an end-user software application, enabling a full asset and process visibility by turning location of assets into valuable information. It delivers the data required to streamline business processes and optimize asset utilization. Vision is a web browser-based application, and therefore it provides access to the critical RTLS data even from remote locations.

With an easy-to-use Rich Internet Application (RIA) user interface, Vision is designed to significantly reduce training requirements for users who need to locate critical assets and staff members. Users can browse and manage lists of items, item categories and implement user-defined searches and rules.

Positioning Engine Light

Positioning Engine is the heart of the RTLS system, including several patented algorithms and methods to calculate a precise real-time location withing the Wi-Fi network.
